Funded by the Federal Government, the COTEC is a model to promote tertiary-level education and supported learning in regional centres and increase local employment opportunities - in this instance, for the Upper Spencer Gulf region which includes the main cities of Port Pirie, Port Augusta and Whyalla.
SmithAssociates was appointed to create the brand and website for the new University Study Centre, following our long history of working with communities in the region and having been part of the evolving landscapes of Port Pirie, Port Augusta, Whyalla and related regional towns. Here’s what we created.
Our creative insight. We created the Uni Hub brand within a collaborative process enabling real input from the local community. We also made sure the brand was a match for the established university partners involved, both for their own engagement with the new COTEC but also so that local potential undergraduate and mature age students might feel pride and security in choosing to stay at home for study as they weighted options against the established brands.
